I used to use this for changing the playlists in the hotel I work at from breakfast to dinner, its a simple program and fitted quite well with our use, but its not worth $13 so we have decided to use Damnsmalllinux and a series of cron jobs. there are plenty of options to using this software. for just a simple alarm clock, try winamp and the alarm clock plugin. congrats to Mark McIntyre for realising his greed.
If you sleep with your phone turned on, keep it out of the bedroom, outside your door. (All the more reason to wake up to your alarms when it goes off). OR, put your cellphone in the same place, but just turn it off and get a simple mechanical alarm clock instead.
